Nobuo Yamada's use of metal junk is a common theme in his creative output. He makes curious and evocative "junk art" and records under the moniker ARTBREAKHOTEL, where he uses various sorts of scrap metal as well.
Juggling almost entirely with this sound source, Yamada managed to come up with an interesting string of releases that all have their own identity, some of them that I consider to be fabulous, like his collaboration with The New Blockaders or his "Karas" LP.
"Lack of Blood" is an engaging release that offers a hypnotic, spatial sound, a palette of scrap metal noise and hints of electronic sounds here and there too. (Fanalstatt)
